The Town of Wakefield recognizes that sustainable environmental practices are critical to protecting and enhancing the ecological and economic health of our community and surrounding areas. Addressing environmental and energy issues, such as resource conservation, waste reduction and energy efficiency, can contribute to the well-being of the Town and its businesses, residents and ecosystems. This committee will work with the Town Administrator, Town Departments, Boards, and Commissions to assist and advise on ways to encourage balanced and responsible environmental stewardship.

On Sunday, October 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wakefield’s Environmental Sustainability Committee will host an EV showcase in the Town Hall parking lot (1 Lafayette Street).
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., attendees browsed an array of electric vehicles, both personal and commercial, and spoke with owners and drivers about their experiences.

On Sunday, October 22, 2023, Wakefield’s Environmental Sustainability Committee hosted an Electric Vehicle Showcase in the Veterans Field Parking Lot on North Ave, Wakefield, MA.
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., attendees browsed an array of electric vehicles, both personal and commercial, and spoke with owners and drivers about their experiences. There were no test drives at this event.
