WCAT shows and podcasts return to the studio

Recently, Rob Brogna, WCAT Board Member and Director of Media Relations and Social Media at Melrose Wakefield Healthcare, was joined by registered dietitian Victoria Parsons, RD, and colorectal surgeon Louis Reines, MD, both of MelroseWakefield Hospital on Brogna’s “The Healthy Podcast”.  They discussed how diet can affect overall health.

Executive Director Boyd comments that, “In-studio productions are back! It’s been a long two years for us all. With the town-wide mask mandate lifted, we’re excited to announce WCAT is open for in-studio productions for all members. Not a member yet, contact us!

Tonight at 7, the Town Council will hold a hybrid meeting with members in the studio.

Wednesday at 6 p.m., WCAT will host Rosey Mongeau and Avery who will record another episode of their podcast “Really Important Fictional Things.”   

Planning for town meeting

WCAT is getting ready now for the upcoming May town meeting. The team has been busy creating graphics, testing equipment, and coordinating with town officials. You’ll be able to watch town meeting on WCAT’s government channels (Comcast 22, Verizon 42, and RCN 13) and streaming live on our Facebook page and on our website’s video-on-demand.

 

“Movies by the Lake”

WCAT is bringing back “Movies by the Lake” for the seventh year. Residents can help pick the 2022 movies with an online survey on Facebook.

Expenses for each movie night run about $2500 and are paid for by sponsors. If you are interested in sponsoring one or more movies, please contact WCAT board member Brian Fox at foxbrian1017@yahoo.com. You may also contact Studio Administrator Barbara Worley at Barbara.worley@wcat.tv or 781-224-0300.

To those visiting WCAT: individuals may still choose to wear a mask while in the studio based on their personal circumstances, but they are not required to do so.

WCAT is always seeking new member relationships and reminds the public that WCAT is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization for those who are considering membership.
