Movies by the Lake – WCAT seeks contributions

WCAT is excited to host the popular Movies by the Lake series for the ninth year. An average of 300-350 area residents come together as WCAT again turns the Lower Common on Lake Quannapowitt into a large outdoor movie theater on Thursday nights this summer. Movie dates will be July 11, 18, and 25 and August 1. August 8 will be the rain date (only one movie).

Contributors are needed to make this huge community summer event happen. It costs $2,700 to put on each movie night. Costs include a 32 foot movie screen with quad sound, licensing for each movie, movie posters, and a Wakefield Police Department detail.

Contributors have several options to choose from:

  • $1,500 – Multiplatinum (all movies)
  • $900 – Platinum (two movies)
  • $500 – Diamond (one movie)
  • $250 – Gold
  • $100 – Silver

Diamond and above contributors have the option to be at one or more movies from 6-8 p.m. with a table or area showcasing and sharing their business or organization. These contributors can do whatever they want – bring information, freebies, provide an activity, meet and greet the public, bring a movie character, sell products, etc.

What’s in it for contributors?

Contributors will get social media recognition with logo, recognition on WCAT TV channels bulletin board 24/7, connection to hundreds of area families, and WCAT’s sincere appreciation for their support.
