Thursday

Want to “feel good”? Back in February, Tom Stapleton and Barbara Worley created an informal time to visit with others about matters of a wide range (no politics or polarizing topics). Some of the topics brought up include dealing with “advances” in technology, social media, customer service, generation differences, and still… “feel good” (the name of this community gathering). This is a safe, comfortable, and fun way to help each other living in this crazy world. All are welcome. The group meets at WCAT on the first and third Thursdays each month from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. Coffee, beverages, and snacks will be provided. An RSVP would be helpful but is not required. Please send an email to info@wcat.tv  or call 781-224-0300. The next meeting is this Thursday, April 20.

Friday

At noon, “Really Important Fictional Things” returns with host Rosey Mongeauin to record another podcast.

Movies by the Lake

WCAT is excited to announce that Movies by the Lake will be returning for the 8th year. An average of 300-350 area residents come together to attend a large outdoor movie theater on Thursday nights every summer.

This spring, more than 600 local residents helped pick the 2023 movies with an online poll (for licensing reasons movie titles can’t be printed in the media). The movie dates are July 13, 20, and 27, and August 3. The rain date (used for only one movie) will be August 10.

Returning movie sponsors-to-date (and movies sponsored) included Rebirth Body Transformation Center (4), The Savings Bank (4), Boys and Girls Clubs of Stoneham and Wakefield (1-2), and Floramo’s Restaurant in Wakefield (1).
