Boys’ and girls’ basketball during a holiday shortened week at WCAT

Tuesday

Tuesday at 6 p.m., WCAT along with commentator Tym Brown, will film the varsity boys’ basketball team’s contest against Belmont. The game will not be livestreamed but will be uploaded to WCAT’s YouTube channel immediately following the game.

 

Wednesday

Wednesday afternoon at 2, WCAT staff will meet with Melinda Parry to plan for the upcoming “In the Middle” project hosted by the First Baptist Church which begins on January 31.

 

Friday

On Friday at 5:30 p.m., WCAT and Tymothy Brown will cover the varsity girls’ basketball contest against Stoneham. Immediately following that game, at approximately 7 p.m., the team will film the varsity boys’ basketball game. These games will not be livestreamed but will be uploaded to WCAT’s YouTube channel immediately following the games.

 

Programming

Each week, WCAT airs religious services of several local churches on the Public Channels (Verizon-40, Comcast-9, or RCN-3). New WCAT member Emmanuel Episcopal Church will join this group by airing four services each week: Sunday at 12:30 p.m. (prior week’s services), Wednesday at 8 p.m., Friday at 4 p.m., and Saturday at 5 p.m.

Public Service Announcements (“PSAs”)

WCAT, working with the town, has begun producing PSAs/News segments related to important town events and happenings to further inform residents of important information. Recent PSAs have covered the curbside

collection of Christmas trees, current street detours in place, and commuter rail track work. These segments are broadcast as well as uploaded to YouTube and posted to Facebook.
