Meanwhile, at 7:30 p.m., the School Committee will hold a hybrid meeting with members in the studio.

Wednesday

Students from North East Metro Tech will tour the studio. This visit had to be rescheduled from September 28. At 7 p.m., the Town Council will hold a hybrid meeting with members in the studio.

Thursday

At 9:30 a.m., Laura Williamson of Bare Fitness in Stoneham will return to the studio to film two additional shows.

Friday morning

At 11, The Room to Write’s “Journey of a Story” will be filmed in the studio. Colleen Getty, founder of The Room to Write, will be speaking with local author Monica Acker about her new book “Brave Like Mom” a “poignant and sensitive story about a loved one living with a chronic illness, and an important lesson about how being brave doesn’t mean you aren’t scared.” Acker will also be participating in TRtW’s Author Sign and Sell event at the Beebe Library on November 12 from 1-4 p.m.

“BOOK BUZZ” returned to the studio on October 5 to present their current “must reads.” Pictured (from left) are Casey Chwiecko, Head of Youth Services; Jackie Powers, Assistant Director; and Karen Stern, Head of Reference and Information services. (Barbara Worley Photo)

WCAT volunteer Bob Burke will be filming the October 22 Sweetser Lecture Series presentation by Sanjiv Chopra, MD, best selling author and Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. The topic is “Live Healthier! Live Happier! Live with Purpose!” The program will air at a future date.

WCAT would like to thank former Warrior and current Emerson College sophomore Tucker Stikeman for his help filming the Warrior football games at Landrigan Field. He joins current Wakefield Memorial High School students Drew Schermerhorn, a senior, and Tymothy Brown, a junior, who provide commentary for the games. These three volunteers are excellent additions to the WCAT crew.
