The Room to Write’s ‘Journey of a Story’ and several podcasts this week at WCAT

Lila Gardella and Angel Amy are in WCAT’s podcasts studio to record another episode of “Spill The Ginger Tea.”

The Friends of Lake Quannapowitt, a member of WCAT, will hold their monthly meeting in the conference room on Tuesday.

Wednesday at 7 p.m., WCAT will cover the Grade 4 choral concert at the Galvin Middle School.

The Room to Write will return to the studio on Thursday at 3 p.m. to tape another segment of “Journey of a Story.” Colleen Getty, Founder of TRtW, will interview Sarah Lynne Reul, an illustrator, writer and award-winning 2D animator who likes science, bright colors, tiny things, drawing on photos and figuring out how things work.

Reul will be discussing her upcoming book (out this fall) about a grandma and her granddaughter trying to bake challah for the first time titled “Bubbie & Rivka’s Best-Ever Challah (So Far!),” which has already been selected as a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection. The book has also been selected by PJ Library for distribution in 2022.

Also, Thursday morning, Northeast Metro Tech ESL students return to work on a new podcast.

Friday, the ESL students return to record another podcast episode.

“Movies by the Lake”

WCAT is bringing back “Movies by the Lake” for the seventh year. Movie dates are July 14, 21, and 28 and August 4 with a rain date of August 11. Movie titles will be set soon.
