This week on WCAT: Several meetings, football, volleyball, and Youth Council

Monday

At 6, the WCAT Board of Directors will hold their monthly hybrid meeting with most members in the conference room.

Tuesday morning

At 9:30, Wakefield Unified Prevention Coalition (Wake-Up) will hold their monthly meeting in the conference room. At 6:30 p.m., some of the crew, including WMHS commentator Matt O’Connor, will film and livestream the girls’ volleyball match against Melrose in the field house. At 7:30 p.m. the School Committee members will be in the studio for a hybrid meeting.

Wednesday morning

At 8:30, Wakefield Alliance Against Violence (WAAV) will hold their monthly meeting in the conference room. At 1 p.m., the Youth Council will hold a hybrid meeting with most members in the studio. At 3 p.m., David Watts, Jr. will hold his monthly sit-down with Town Administrator Steve Maio in the studio.

Thursday morning

EQUIPMENT to be transported to the fieldhouse balcony to cover volleyball games includes a box of cables and extension cords, a tripod, a video monitor, the control unit to link the camera to the scoreboard, an audio mixer, the camera, a mic and stand to capture crowd noise, a table for the laptop that connects to the scorer’s table, and the headset and control board for the commentator.

At 10, Laura Williamson, founder of Bare Fitness in Stoneham, will be in studio to film an interview and some exercises. Laura holds certifications from the National Association of Sports Medicine, Romana Kryzanowska’s True Pilates in New York, Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York, and a Precision Nutrition Coach.

Also on Thursday, “Really Important Fictional Things” with Rosey Mongeau and Avery will return to the podcast studio at 4 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., the crew and WMHS commentator Matt O’Connor will cover the girls’ volleyball contest against Stoneham in the field house. This game will be livestreamed.

Friday

At 6 p.m., the crew, including WMHS student commentators Tymothy Brown and Drew Schermerhorn, will return to Landrigan Field to film the Warriors’ football game against Northeast Metro Tech. The game will not be livestreamed.
