Town Administrator, The Room to Write, volleyball and football this week at WCAT

Monday

Earlier today, Colleen Getty, Founder of The Room to Write, was joined in the studio for “Journey of a Story” with educator and author Karin Gertsch (“Five Wishes”) and followed that up with a second interview with author Tim O’Leary (“The Woman in the Road”).  Tonight at 6, WCAT’s Board of Directors will hold their monthly meeting.

Tuesday

Morning at 9am, Wakefield Unified Prevention Coalition (WakeUp) will meet in the conference room.

At 6:30 p.m., WCAT will be in the Field House to film the varsity girls’ volleyball match against Wilmington. The match will not be livestreamed.

Wednesday

In the morning, and again on Wednesday night, the Wakefield Alliance Against Violence (WAAV) will meet in the studio. These meetings are not televised and although recorded, they are only released to the Executive Board.

Wednesday at 3 p.m., David Watts, Jr. will host Town Administrator Steve Maio for the “Town Administrator’s Report” which returns after a summer hiatus.

Thursday

At 2:15 p.m., Gail Lowe, local author and reporter, will interview Brendan Kenney. Kenney is with the Firebird Pops Orchestra. He’s a music director, conductor, and accompanist in the Greater Boston area with 15 years of experience, primarily in musical theatre.

Friday

Night at 6pm, WCAT staff, volunteers, and interns will travel up to Landrigan Field to film the Warrior football team’s game against North East Metro Tech. The game will not be livestreamed.

Each week, WCAT airs religious services of several local churches on the Public Channels (Verizon-40 or Comcast/RCN-3).
