Town Council, School Committee and ‘Book Buzz’ on tap this week at WCAT

Monday

A subcommittee of the Friends of Lake Quannapowitt met in WCAT’s conference room. Tonight the Town Council will hold a hybrid meeting at 7 with members in the studio.

Tuesday

At 7 (an earlier start than usual due to the public hearing), the School Committee will meet in a hybrid session with members in the studio.

Wednesday

At noon, WCAT staff will film a public service announcement (PSA) for Earth Day sponsored by the Environmental Sustainability Committee regarding was to reduce food waste in Wakefield’s elementary schools.

Thursday

At 2 p.m., Howard Hart returns to the vodcast studio for another episode of “Speaking Opera.” His guest will be Benton Hess. Hess’s long career as an opera conductor and vocal coach began in 1976. At 3 p.m., Karen Stern and her associates will be in the studio for another “Book Buzz” program. At 7 p.m., the Wakefield Farmers’ Market will meet with potential board members in WCAT’s conference room.

Friday

At noon, “Really Important Fictional Things” with hosts Rosey Mongeau and Avery is back in the podcast studio.
