Town Council, Town Administrator, Legislative Breakfast and more this week at WCAT

This week

WCAT says farewell to Producer Adam Nestle who’s leaving the community television field. Over his six plus years at WCAT Adam has been involved in studio productions, podcasts, government meetings, and high school sports coverage as well as other off-site work such as Town Meeting, Memorial Day and Veterans Day ceremonies, graduation, and July 4 parade coverage to name a few.

Monday

At 7 p.m., the Town Council will hold a hybrid meeting with members in the studio.

Tuesday

The Massachusetts Partnership with Youth will be in the studio. At 5:30 p.m., crew, volunteers, and student commentator Matt O’Connor will cover the girls’ varsity basketball game against Watertown and at 7 p.m., the group and commentator Tymothy Brown will provide coverage of the boys’ basketball contest, also against Watertown. Both games will be live streamed.

Wednesday

WCAT will be on hand to film the Wakefield Lynnfield Chamber of Commerce Legislative Breakfast at the Four Points Sheraton. The Stoneham Chamber and the Reading/North Reading Chamber will also be participating. Among the eight legislators expected to attend will be Wakefield’s delegation – Senator Jason Lewis (D-Winchester) and Representatives Kate Lipper-Garabedian (D-Melrose) and Donald Wong (R-Saugus). Also expected to be in attendance will be Senators Bruce Tarr (R-Gloucester) and Brendan Crighton (D-Lynn), and Representatives Brad Jones (R-North Reading) , Michael Day (D-Stoneham), and Rich Haggerty (D-Woburn).

Also Wednesday morning at 8:30, Wakefield Alliance Against Violence (WAAV) will meet in the studio in a hybrid meeting with most members in the facility.

Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., the Friends of Lake Quannapowitt will hold a subcommittee meeting in the conference room.

Wednesday at 3 p.m., David Watts, Jr. will hold his monthly meeting with Town Administrator Steve Maio in the studio.

Thursday

NE Voices, the North East Metro Tech podcast club will be in the podcast studio.

At 5 p.m., “Really Important Fictional Things” with hosts Rosey Mongeau and Avery is back in the podcast studio.
