Town Council, Youth Council, Juneteenth, Chamber annual meeting and Relay for Life this week at WCAT

Monday

Tonight at 7, the Town Council will hold a hybrid meeting with members in the studio.

Tuesday

At 2:30 p.m. the Youth Council will hold a hybrid meeting with most members in the studio.

Thursday

At 2 p.m., Howard Hart, Founder of the Opera Club of Wakefield will record another podcast with guest Jeff Klapes. At 3:45 p.m., Barbara Worley and Tom Stapleton’s “Feel Good Community” will hold a meeting in the conference room.

Thursday night at 5, WCAT will be onsite to film the Juneteenth Ceremony at the Americal Civic Center. Also, that night from 5-8 p.m., WCAT will film the Annual Meeting of the Wakefield-Lynnfield Chamber of Commerce at the Four Points by Sheraton.

Friday

In the morning, Colleen Getty, Founder of The Room to Write, will record another podcast in “The Journey of a Story” series. Friday night, a crew will be on hand to film the Relay for Life Ceremony.

Movies by the Lake

Movies by the Lake will kick off its eighth season in July. Residents and out-of-towners come together to attend a large outdoor movie theater on Thursday nights. The movie dates are July 13, 20, and 27, and August 3. The rain date (used for only one movie) will be August 10.

Returning movie sponsors-to-date (and movies sponsored) included Rebirth Body Transformation Center (4), The Savings Bank (4), Boys and Girls Clubs of Stoneham and Wakefield (1-2), Floramo’s Restaurant in Wakefield (1), Wakefield Rotary (1), Kids’ Test Kitchen (1), and The Gingerbread Construction Co (1).
